Offshore: The wahoo fishing is still doing very good offshore around the Big Rock and the Swansboro Hole area. Blackfin tuna and a few sailfish are mixed in as well. There are plenty of king mackerel from the 14 Bouy offshore as well.

Inshore: The bluefin tuna fishing has slowed up some, but the size of the tuna keep on geting bigger. there have been a few of the bluefins reaching up as large as 700 plus pounds. The long period of extreme cold weather and NW winds have pushed the bluefins offshore farther than normal. The majoriy of bluefins have been holding around the 14 Bouy to the 240 Rock area.

Inside: The water continues to be very cold around and along the beaches, but there are still speckled trout and plenty of redfish to be caught. There are large numbers of redfish that have pushed out into the ocean. If we can get the water temperatures to raise another few degrees, up form the lower 40's to the upper 40's and lower 50's things should really turn on for the redfish.
