Current Fishing Report
5/8/2008 |
Offshore: We received reports of Blue Marlin, still nice bites of gaffer dolphin, wahoo, scattered blackfin & yellowfin, and kings yesterday. |
Inshore: The cobia are moving in closer, and a few reports of some caught (though we did not visibly see them). The bonita and bluefish are still doing well around the artificial reefs. And spanish are in, although still scattered, they are here. With the warming water temp, they're numbers will only increase. They are catching some nice flounder also around same areas and just off the beach..if you can get down past the blue fish first. |
Inside: Capt. Joe had a good bite on redfish yesterday. Flounder, smaller blue fish, and still a few sea mullet are around. |
Piers: When I talked to the piers this morning, Oceanana Pier reported catches of spanish mackerel last nite and this morning, and they are still hooking up with the bluefish. On the other end of the beach, Bogue Inlet Pier reported the same, Spanish mackerel and bluefish. |
Charters: We are now booking for red drum, speckled trout, false albacore, Atlantic Bonito, and bluefish. |
